Spray Foam Insulation

Why spray foam? It does a lot more than just insulate.

Here are some additional benefits from a spray foam application.

  • Eliminates unwanted air and moisture infiltration.

  • Highest R-value per inch.

  • Adds structural strength.

  • Ideal for the "hard to reach' areas.

  • Lowers carbon footprint by reducing energy consumption.

  • Durable and long-lasting.

  • Improves indoor air quality.

Attic Insulation

Why upgrade your attic insulation?

  • Lower energy costs.

  • Protect your roof from costly ice and moisture damage.

  • Improves home comfort level.

  •  Benefits the environment by saving energy and reducing your carbon footprint.

Most people are aware of the benefits of a properly insulated attic, but not everyone knows what to look for to determine if an attic upgrade is necessary. Here are some indications that your attic needs some attention;

In the attic

  •  Measure the depth or level of your insulation to make sure it is at least R60 (16-18 inches of cellulose or 20-22 inches of fibreglass)

Outside the attic

  • If you have icicles or

  • If you're finding heatloss around the perimeter of your ceiling

However, the easiest way? Give Space Age Insulation a call!  We will check not only your insulation but also ensure proper ventilation, vapour barrier, and attic access to confirm that everything was done correctly.

Blown-In Walls and Ceiling Systems

BIBS systems are another multi-purpose and effective way to insulate your home!

  • Higher R‑values than traditional batts, improving energy efficiency.

  • Excellent air‑sealing and reduced drafts due to dense fill.

  • Superior sound control thanks to complete cavity fill.

  • No gaps or voids, even around wiring and plumbing.

  • Non‑settling, long‑lasting performance.

  • Environmentally friendly (recycled content).

  • Improved indoor air quality with certain fiberglass formulations.

  • Fire‑ and mold‑resistant properties inherent to fiberglass.

Insulation Removal

Removals are exactly as you'd imagine: dirty and dusty, but necessary for the re-installation of new insulation.

Reasons to book a removal before re-insulating include:

  • Moisture damage (roof leaks, condensation, ice dams)

  • Mold or mildew contamination

  • Rodent or pest infestation

  • Smoke or fire damage

  • Renovations or retrofits

  • Upgrading to higher‑performance insulation

  • Settling or deterioration reducing R‑value

  • Incorrect or unsafe installation (e.g., insulation blocking vents)

A proper removal is the first step to re-insulating your space to ensure a successful install!

Fire Proofing

What is fireproofing paint, you ask? It’s a special coating applied over the foam to help slow down fire and give people more time to get to safety.

Why fireproof?

  • Meets building and fire‑safety codes

  • Adds an extra layer of protection to your home or cottage

  • Works in tight or hard‑to‑drywall areas

  • Creates a clean, uniform finish over spray foam

Ideal for:

  • Basements, crawlspaces, attics, garages, and mechanical rooms

  • New builds

  • Renovations

  • Cottages and water‑access properties

  • Areas where drywall isn’t practical

Sound Proofing

We offer several effective options to help reduce noise transmission throughout your home or building. Whether you’re dealing with loud rooms, shared walls, or multi‑level sound transfer, we have solutions tailored to your needs:

Roxul Safe & Sound (Walls & Ceilings)

A reliable, high‑performance mineral wool insulation designed specifically for sound control. Ideal for standard wall and ceiling cavities, it helps reduce airborne noise and improves overall acoustic comfort.

 Dense‑Packed Cellulose (Hard‑to‑Access Areas)

Perfect for irregular or enclosed spaces where traditional batts can’t be installed. Dense‑packed cellulose fills every gap, creating a tight, sound‑absorbing barrier that significantly reduces noise transfer.
